RCMP Investigate Homicide
The RCMP Powerview Detachment is seeking the public's assistance in locating Nicole Germaine Swampy, 37, of Fort Alexander, Manitoba. She was reported missing by her family who are concerned for her welfare. She was last seen yesterday in Fort Alexander at about 5 pm.
The RCMP will never stop trying to make Manitoba roadways safer. Despite the rainy weather over the long weekend, RCMP members were conducting Checkstops throughout the Province. The focus was on high-risk driving behaviours as part of the National Road Safety Week campaign, which ran from May 13-20 this year.
On May 18th, 2013 at approximately 11:00pm, the Steinbach RCMP were dispatched to a hit and run collision at the intersection of Brandt Street and Main Street in Steinbach, Manitoba.

Refuse Roadside Screening Device
Officers from the Dauphin Municipal RCMP detachment conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Jackson Street early Saturday morning, April 27, 2013, after witnessing it being driven in a suspicious manner. Officers had noted the vehicle had gone through a couple of intersections without first coming to a full stop. Officers administered a roadside screening test after determining the driver had been drinking, however the driver failed to provide a suitable sample of their breath.
On April 27th, 2013 at approximately 10 pm, the Ste Rose du Lac RCMP and Ste Rose fire Department responded to a report of a father and daughter stuck in a low level water crossing, the 12 yr old girl was in the water hanging onto a tree.
On April 27th, 2013 at approximately 9:30pm, the Steinbach RCMP were called to a single vehicle rollover collision on Highway 210 near the community of Marchand, Mb.

RCMP Gypsumville execute CDSA search warrant
On April 20, 2013, an investigation by the Gypsumville RCMP resulted in the execution a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence in the RM of Grahamdale.
Officers found and seized one pound of marihuana, $5,000 cash, a small amount of cocaine and various drug paraphernalia.
Eric Gospen, 59, of the RM of Siglunes, was arrested and released on a recognizance to attend court in St. Martin on May 8, 2013. He has been charged with Production of marihuana, Possession for the purpose of trafficking (marihuana), Possession of cocaine under the CDSA as well as Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 under the Criminal Code.
